Music Review: Asher Roth – Asleep in the Bread Aisle

There are a few things that have to be said right off the bat about Asher Roth. His web platform is the ever-appealing DailyKush and a white boy from college who raps is sure to have mass market appeal. The world’s most famous white rapper and an MC who I personally put in my top three lyricists of all time thinks that Asher is dope. So why am I just not a fan of his album Asleep in the Bread Aisle? I went to college and I lived the lifestyle promoted by Asher for an extended period of time. But Mr. Roth’s album still just didn’t connect. Let’s delve into the reasons below.
